From the first line
to the last listen.
Sessions on the Green® began as a personal studio project. It has grown into a home for songs, instrumentals, visual stories and a wide range of musical identities.
I write, produce and guide the creative direction: shaping the words, finding the character of a recording, choosing its arrangement and deciding how it should meet the listener.
A voice for the story.
Different ideas ask for different voices. Some artists perform under their own names; others prefer the privacy of a stage name. Some voices are developed from recorded vocal samples, while others are created entirely in the studio.
The same openness shapes the instrumentation—from traditional instruments to sounds drawn from musical eras long past. Throughout, the writing, arranging, editing and careful listening give each recording its character.
Room to experiment.
Care in the choosing.
We work with generative technologies, advanced digital platforms and studio tools alongside more familiar recording methods. I try things, listen, discard, begin again. A useful tool opens possibilities; it does not relieve me of the responsibility to choose well.
The work is supported by the wider Sessions team across production, publishing, distribution and our conversations with listeners.
The listener completes it.
Music becomes something else when it leaves the studio. Someone finds their own memory in it. Someone writes to say what it meant. Those moments are a large part of why we keep making it.
