Inside the Studio With Peter Pickering

Inside Peter Pickering’s studio, soul meets storytelling. As lyricist and producer of Sessions on the Green, Peter crafts timeless music with cinematic depth, emotional detail, and a touch of late-night magic.

The Quiet Craft

At the heart of Sessions on the Green is a simple idea: music made with soul, not for show.

Peter Pickering — producer, lyricist, and creative imagineer — leads a studio-based collective of artists who don’t seek fame, just the perfect note. Each track is a collaboration between voices, moods, and moments. No tours. No flashing lights. Just sound and story.

Meet the Artists

The Sessions on the Green collective brings together an extraordinary mix of voices, moods, and musical spirits — each with their own identity, sound, and presence. Together, they shape a sound that’s cinematic, soulful, intimate, and timeless.

A lifelong imagineer and musical storyteller, he brings decades of creative experience to each track — blending soul, story, and studio craft into something deeply personal. His fingerprints are on every line, every mix, and every emotion we share.

The Sound of Sessions

Crafted in studio environments led by Peter, every track is infused with purpose, emotion, and restraint. Whether it’s whispered soul or full orchestral arrangements, each piece tells a story and creates a mood.

From Peter’s lyrical pen and production direction come songs that blend:

Soulful ballads and lush slow jams

Late-night jazz, cinematic instrumentals, and ambient textures

Whispered vocals, romantic R&B, and minimalist piano-led themes

Balearic grooves, Latin fusion, and reflective Americana

It’s original music — independent, emotionally rich, and impossible to pigeonhole.

Peter Pickering’s Sessions on the Green isn’t a genre.

It’s a feeling.

The sound of Sessions on the Green reflects the creative vision of Peter Pickering — music producer, lyricist, and founder of the project.

Our Tools

We don’t cling to vintage myths or studio clutter. The magic comes from clarity — from using tools that simply work, day in, day out.

We create on the Mac family — iPhones, iPads, iMacs, MacBook Pros — because they never let us down. For music, we use Logic Pro. It’s what many of the world’s best use — and so do we. For video, we lean on Final Cut Pro — powerful, precise, and seamlessly integrated into our world.

Studio microphones are RØDE — crisp, honest, and rich in tone. Mastering is essential to everything we do, delivered in pristine 24-bit audio that lets every detail breathe.

Our cameras are Nikon mirrorless, and drone work comes from DJI — stable, cinematic, and endlessly expressive.

We write at the piano. A Yamaha, for when we need that human warmth. And Henri-Philippe Marchand, our composer and arranger, paints with synthesizers too — choosing textures with the same care as a cellist selects their bow.

It’s not about the gear. It’s about what it gives back.

A feeling, a moment, a mood — captured clean, and shared with care.

The Heart Behind the Sound

We don’t chase trends.

We don’t care for algorithms.

We’re not in it for the spotlight — we’re here for the song.

Sessions on the Green is built on something quieter, deeper.

The belief that music still matters. That honesty still resonates.

That if you play with care, someone, somewhere will feel it.

We craft each track like a conversation.

Not a broadcast — a moment shared.

A voice in your headphones. A late-night thought.

A feeling you didn’t have words for, until now.

There’s no rush.

No rules.

Just a commitment to soul over spectacle, and sound over noise.

We believe music is memory.

It’s mood.

It’s medicine.

And if we’ve done our job, you’ll feel it —

not just in your ears,

but in your chest.
